OK, which one is the best??

OK, this is actually for my dad who is writing a book and will be using MicroSoft Word97. I have been reading all these reviews and comments but can seem to get a straight answer. Which one is the best already??? At least for my purpose?? Please e-mail me. Thanks... Ryan
