percussive sounds

I have just installed Voice Express Plus which is working sometimes better than expected. The main problem seems to be with percussive words such as 'percussive' and 'but'. Anyone else having the same probs. I have tried different mic positions and pronunciations and training to no improvement. Is this prob solveable or should I forget it and type the 'but's?
