The recorder is equipped with 256MB of embedded flash memory. With its built-in stereo microphone, reports can easily be recorded in high quality sound. Recording times vary depending upon the mode used. The recorder offers 4 modes for recording. In LP mode, the recorder will record 93 hours 30 minutes. In SP mode, 35 hours 00 minutes, In ST mode, 11 hours 30 minutes and in STLP mode, 22 hours 05 minutes.
The ICD-CX50 has a 1.2 inch color LCD, 4x digital zoom and comes with rechargeable batteries. The batteries can be charged using the supplied AC adaptor or through USB connection to the PC. With the embedded 256MB of flash media, this recorder can take up to 4094 images. An image can be captured simultaneously while dictating, leaving no need to stop your recording just to take a picture.
Offering Hi-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, transferring or copying files to the PC has never been easier.
The Sony ICD-CX50 is also compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking v8. With Dragon NaturallySpeaking v8 and the Sony Digital Voice Editor software; your recorded dictations can be converted into text with a click of a mouse.
